The best soundtracks can stand alone from their films as exceptional bodies of work. I was thrilled to curate The Sound of Vinyl U.S.’s Award-Winning Soundtracks collection ahead of “Oscars weekend” 2021.
In addition to curating soundtracks that have received prestigious awards and nominations, I crafted their descriptions and coordinated with the designer to execute this beautiful collection page.
This was my first attempt at this project type, but I managed the creative direction to the client’s delight.
To acknowledge the masterminds behind each soundtrack with accuracy, I researched the song credits of the albums on Spotify. It was enlightening to learn how a soundtrack’s collaboration flows from track to track.
That task also reinforced how the structure and elements of these soundtracks (original songs, instrumental scores, featured vocalists, etc.) varied greatly to tell their stories best. I’m proud of this project and look forward to curating more collections in the future!
